RE: 🍉 [MELN] Galactic Bioblitz Contest Results

I am thankful for the prizes. Something for my time spent, though to tell you the truth it was an excuse for learning more about Scratch 3. I have played with several drawing packages like blender, Unity, Free3D and a couple others. Some much more complicated than others, blender being way up there. Scratch 3 is on the Raspberry Pi which I just got for my 4 year old grandson. So, I would have to know to be able to show.

I too am a little disappointed that there were not enough entries. Winning when there are so few entries does not feel so much like a win. Nothing to compare to, so, was my stuff any good? I wonder what others could have created?

So, I hope some take a few moments to check out Scratch 3. It is very good, and you can learn to do things really fast. Youtubes are usually about 6 min. I watched about 45 min worth and one of the presenters was for sure under 7 years old. And while you are creating you are also learning to program, even if you do not know it.

Again, Many thanks for the prizes.

I highly recommend Krita as a drawing package. Essentially a free, open-source version of photoshop. It is what was used to create the 🍉 [MELN] logo.

There is no way to know for sure, but I still think you would have won Best Attack and Funniest because I personally loved your entry. The simple animation of your cat walking around and then distorting and destroying the background as it stares at the camera was hilarious.

If we do something like this again, I hope you continue to participate!

Hmm... ill have to look into krita as well... anything is better than paint.
That being said, i really love pixel studio on my tablet... the pc version isnt as good though.

I agree with birdbeaksd and also think that had there been more entries, you still would have won Best Attack! It was a unique attack and the presentation was great (and amusing)!
I can't wait to see more examples of your work in the future.

No question at all about funniest. I definitely chuckled when i watched.
