It's a new weekly series like AskAnime where I ask for Manga recommendations. I binge read a lot of manga so I tend to run out of titles on a weekly basis so it'd be great if you guys can give me some recommendations.
Normal. That's the theme, slice of life genre where there's no life or death plot. Just a normal story of average people doing average things. You can put in some romance or comedy because these subgenres get included in the plot but I'd like to see more mundane stories you can find.
Mechanics:
- Entry can either be a comment under this post or a separate post with a hashtag #mangamonday20. Please note the number "20" at the end of the hashtag is an indicator of the week number and it'll help me search for recent entries on the succeeding weeks. Making a separate post is preferred but settling for a comment is fine too.
- If you make a separate post about the recommendation, you don't need to specify that it's "Manga Monday Contest Entry 20" or something along those lines, just post it like any regular review post on the community. This isn't a formal contest as the criteria is just looking recommendations to read about.
- Reblogs or upvotes are appreciated but not necessary. Just comment the recommendation or make a post about the manga, that'd be fine.
- It doesn't necessarily have to be a manga, it can be a manhwa or manhua.
- If you already made a post about your recommendation, let's say a manga review posted months to years ago, drop it here as an entry.
- You can do multiple entries in the comments or post but bear in mind that if you shill me a bucket list of titles, I'd probably ignore it.
- Community mods will be curating the entries for engagement. This doesn't mean big votes, we could just be handing out Hive tips for those that engage more just as what we do on AskAnime weekly.

Thanks for your time.
Normal = The Daily Lives of High School Boys (hahaha)
There's also this manga I used to read in the past No Matter How I Look at It, It's Your Fault I'm Not Popular --> it was funny and depressing at the same time. Didn't get to finish it, though.. xD
but if you want a cute one...
Gakuen Babysitters or Kotaro Lives Alone --> I've been into anime and manga with cute babies recently because of Tadaima, Okaeri (BL).
I've seen the daily lives as an anime and it was nice but not enough to compel me to complete the series watching or follow up with the manga. Still good, just not my cup of tea.
It's something you just watch to kill time... nothing to be excited about. haha
Some time ago I recommended a manga by Nobuyuki Fukumoto and today I will share another title with you. This time for Mahjong fans. This comic is called Akagi and its main character is a man with the same name. The protagonist is a sociopath who doesn't care about anything at all. When he doesn't risk his life, he doesn't feel alive. We meet him as a young boy who is bored with "simple gambling", playing coward (two players drive two old cars towards a cliff, the one who jumps out of the car second wins), so he decided to play something more difficult - gambling with criminals and people from a dark star. Much like Kaiji, Akagi isn't a very pretty comic. The line isn't completely terrible and I've seen worse, but I've also seen much better. The author wrote a fight that is longer than Goku vs. Freezer (which has been a symbol of long fights in anime for years). It would have been shorter, but Akagi had so little respect for his own life that he helped his opponent.
Ohhh, slice of life...Nan Hao and Shang Feng immediately came to mind, but I've already mentioned it here, so I'll just recommend another one.
This other manga is basically snippets of the daily lives of these cute love birds. The art style was definitely such an eye-pleaser, and I love how it managed to be sensual and titillating without being vulgar or smutty. It's basically one of my comfort mangas, which I reread sometimes if things get unfavorable in the anime or manga that I'm into. The comfort that Emma and Aleksander give off was really wholesome for me.
Bibliomania is a short manga with a mysterious and exciting plot, you should check it out
It's a horror genre and not a slice of life. Read the weekly prompt.
