Initially I wanted to give DB Daim, but internally I felt that I was in a better position. As it turned out after 24 hours, I had cards in my deck that were like Jokers in this category. Especially one of them - Gungrave.
It is an adaptation of the game, or more specifically - a prequel and an adaptation of the game. This is one of the few examples where a prequel, or addition to a story, crushes the original. The game is a simple action title like many others - even if it is really good, the overwhelming majority of "only good titles" are not remembered by the general public. The better ones also do not have such a guarantee, but due to less competition, it is easier to find them.
Anime is different. This is a great, brutal story about the mafia operating in the near future. Very good characters, intense action, the plot from a certain point is so intriguing that we absorb episode after episode. Then there's the finale, this one is absolutely mind-blowing! Just as athletic thighs crush watermelons, the finale twists us like a floor rag. Every friend to whom I recommended Gungrave was delighted with this moment and the general moral of the anime.
And then a plot known from games appears, which at best should be heavily modified or, preferably, simply thrown into the trash. Why? Because it spoils EVERYTHING! I won't give any spoilers because maybe I'll encourage someone to watch it. If I encourage you, please tag me in this post because I want to experience these emotions again.
Tl;dr version - up to this point, Gungrave is a gourmet meal that consists of 3 courses. We are satisfied, full, and then we get dessert. Not only is it the cheapest ice cream, but it is half melted.
