MISA - THE LIZARD CAVE

Excerpt from The Lizard Cave

To my amazement, It was Misa that opened the door and stepped in with some fruits in a bowl, I recognized that those are the same delicious fruits they gave me where I was previously held in detention, my eyes brightened with expectancy as I also observed some other assorted fruits in the mix.

Hello folks and welcome to another episode on my world-building series, In this episode, I decided to expand on this scene, I wanted to portray a soft and nurturing aura about this character.

Misa is the daughter of Abin, the leader of the Orktarg people, This is one of the first personal POV drawings I've made of Misa, I tried to illustrate the softer and round frame of the female compared to the male Orktargs, Her hip sway and cat-walking gesture was also a nice touch, if I might add.

The environmental design is also coming together, I'm achieving a common theme around this world, particularly in this episode I'm learning to use moderate warmer colors on the highlights, most of the plot is set in a cave with no natural light, so it could be kinda challenging knowing where to add details or ignore details, I actually found myself squinting my eyes alot, I realized that blurring my own vision a bit also helps in this regard, actually a lot of art tutors also talk about this tip. the brain is very visual and knows how to fill in the gaps, even when the artist withdraw details from the painting.

At the end of the day, I was pretty satisfied with my progress.

Love the way in which you pulled this image together @abmakko ❣️I found this bit very interesting in the construction and development of your image:

How does this process above work?

I found your post in Dreemport this evening.

!PIZZA !ALIVE

It works just by squinting your eye and looking at the blurred lines, The only similar example I can give is when people look at clouds and make images from it, you can also look at your painting and make shades and coloring from it.

Thanks for passing by... glad you enjoyed my work :-)

Thanks for explaining it a little more. !PIZZA

It's my pleasure, you're always welcome ☺️
