REMIXES No 2

I also call this one 'She Walks a Lonely Road'. This speaks to me directly and my life as it is now. My grandmother always says one should stay beautiful and not wear troubles on your face like make-up. Sometime I understand what she means. Other times I don't.

Hello @allegrapanter. Lovely and captivating image. I can see the weight pulling one down. I see the trouble above, behind, and to the sides, waiting, closing in, tightening the ropes until you can't breath. Until you can't exhale. Trouble comes in all sizes, shapes, and colors as external stressors. As such, we mustn't allow them to overwhelm us. Cast them from your shoulders. Toss them aside. Sometimes the burdens become so weary, we try to hide them under the guise of "makeup". Once you remove the makeup, troubles are still there. Be of good cheer!

Thanks for sharing this thought-provoking piece. Take care, and have a good rest of your week.

I completely agree with you. I think the notion is that you can't get anywhere when you always look broken down. There was a period when my mother was growing up, things got tough financially due to an economic crash. Next to food, my grandmother would always make sure there was soap and detergent so her kids would always look clean and neat. That's where the phrase came from.😂 Like positivity and defiance. Thank you.
