I grew this alien creature
to wear into battle as a helmet. It smarts a little when the pincers go up my nose but once the brainmesh is complete it gives me the reaction time of sonic the hedgehog.Process
Standard alienflesh technique on the pincers, I grew the tissue on top of scaffolding I made from bighorn sheep skull. Five AI deepstyle generated layers, each layered back with the preceding versions and original photo to create a new base image for the next AI layer.
The final alienflesh - I cut a chunk of this out to form the lobes on either side of the alien creature (the pincer points were re-used from a previous alienflesh creature experiment)
The braincap section is a nearly unmodified (only mirrored) crop from photo of a morel mushroom that sprouted up in my back yard.
Nice to see you're back!
whut diebitch is here again?!? Oh snap if I had known that I might have posted again sooner LOL how are ya?
Yes, just came back a few months ago! Are you back for good?
probably not really - I might pop off the random art post once in a while when the itch hits me and I get the time. I am a busy guy right now though. Watching my two boys of course but also I went pretty aggressive on my garden this year and I am struggling to keep up with canning and pickling, on top of some house repairs on the old house we bought. Most of my computer time I am dedicating to a couple big art projects I am working on
I'm about to get busy as well so I understand, but looking foward to your projrcts😀
Wow ... you worked all that up from a mushroom in your backyard ... AMAZING.
I'm really glad to see you, because your kindness to me is about to go to another level ... I'm doing a presentation on how to start on Hive for the writing agency I'm a part of ... which I'm a part of because of work I did here ... which I stayed and did because of your starter generosity ... doesn't look as impressive to the world as this skull cap, but I SEE IT, and I thank you!
that is awesome :) BTW I never did that crossdimensional NFT portal project we chatted about because I ended up learning more about the platform I planned on using (OpenSea) and realized I didn't want to mint NFTs there. Then I got sidetracked by a different project as is my wont. But I appreciate your willingness to jump into my creative universe and co-create! Love Carl
We COULD just do the same project on NFT Showroom here on Hive ... promote the wazoo out of it ... but HEY, no pressure!
