Hi friends, I want to tell a little about my life story, I was raised from a Muslim family and my family really hates the art of painting animation and pictures, because they become devout Muslims and are very obedient to religious rules.
I loved the world of art when I was 10 years old and when they first found out that I had a hobby of drawing from there they really hated my talent because basically in Islam, drawing tangible characters is not allowed because one day what will happen we draw will be held accountable for answers, that's the understanding of my parents.
They have eliminated many of my works since then, that's where I secretly pursue my hobby without them knowing. several times I was caught drawing my parents always scolding me for what I did.
I once hated myself because I was different from them, I didn't have much achievement and I was also a smart student at school, different from the other siblings they won the class and had a lot of achievements in their lives.
several years running they kept scolding me and one day I was bored with what they were doing and finally I dared to raise my voice and leave the house for a while,
angry annoyed that I experienced, and finally I want to make peace with myself and I feel sorry for scolding my parents for my attitude, I can leave my hobby in a while but the unbearable feeling always haunts me and finally I continue to persevere my hobby for now.
I describe whatever I feel I carved all of it in the engraved paper, I want to show some of my drawings that I hid well from my parents.
one of the pictures that I drew a few years back
I keep this book well so that my parents don't or with what I keep secret I always keep the book in the basement to avoid my parents' attitude so that they don't destroy my work anymore.
and some of the pictures I drew recently.

even though they hate my hobbies but i never get angry with them i love them more than anything i just don't want to make them sad. maybe this is the only story I can tell. thank you
You have a gift for arts. It is sad to hear that you can't express your craft openly. I think you should not blame your self or even to your parents or your religion. But I hate to hear that religion interfere with our ways of life. It should complement it rather cut off our freedom. Nonetheless, your sketches are good. !LUV !discovery 18
I agree with your opinion, but we can't change the existing rules, but we just need to live it and be well and harmonious, maybe God has a different path, friends, thanks for the input, bro @juecoree

Your drawing skills are awesome, so sad that you can't express your art freely 😞. Please don't blame yourself for it, i want to respect your parents religion as anybody has right to have their own culture but when religion enters in conflict with freedom it's a sad thing, I can't respect that. Any religion should consider a talent like yours a god's blessing.
Thank you bro for the input, happy to be able to share the story here, I started to love myself and because of that I continue to hide my talents from my parents so that they are not disappointed because I hope that someday my parents will understand what I hope that art makes them happy with talent me @palasatenea
Amazing art. Sad story.
this is life bro :) it's just how we deal with these problems 😔 @apshamilton

A couple of religions have a problem with 'Graven Images.' The problem lies in that a modern misunderstanding of that term brings them to forbid any images at all. Graven images are generally carved out of something so that the end result could be worshipped as an idol. I don't think you are worshipping your drawings of the Ninja Turtles or worshipping the Ninja Turtles... so the religious application doesn't really apply to the arts in general.
The religious application only truly relates when it is either forming an idol to be worshipped or an artistic act of worship in and of itself. I don't believe you are allowed to depict God in an artistic form even as a token of devotion in Islam though. I commend you for honoring your mother and father, especially under such conditions. Your skills are something to utilize. If you were an architect would they be against designing the infrastructure of a house, building, or bridge? What would be the difference between a house or a Ninja Turtle?
Thanks for sharing and welcome to HIVE!
Of course not my friend respects the rules of religion and I really respect my parents because they are everything to me, I can have free activities after I don't live with them anymore because I have lived where I work now, I understand what you mean friends understanding of people who can be different but the goal is still to provide the best for the people they care about, thank you buddy, for your advice, my respect, moderator @castleberry
