I'd would want to go on and on about how incredible this drawing look but I'm certain you know how I feel about all your drawings. They always come out looking incredible and very unique and this piece wasn't any different:)
This is my third attempt at playing with drawing in the negative.
I'm not to certain as to what this is but I'd make a guess. Does 'drawing in the negative' mean drawing with a black background?
Too bad I missed out on this puzzle. Would have loved a personalized drawing too🤧
Thank you very much @wongi!
I don't really know the professional term of drawing on black paper to be fair. I was trying to find one, but with no luck. I've used 'negative' term same way as it is used in analogue photography.
I know this is not a correct term, because drawing with white crayon on black paper is not simply and inversion of pencil on white paper.
Basically I make a positive drawing only instead of working on shadows - I work with light (white crayon), and the colour of the paper (black) serves me for shadows.
Don't worry about it, there will be more opportunities to get personalized picture, I promise:)
Okay, now I get your use of the term.
Okay, she promised. Do you know that promise is the meaning of my native name?. I guess you know now😅. I'd be looking forward to these times.
