I got a call from one of my junior, Neel just 4 days ago, he enquired whether I was free on Friday the 3rd of December as there is an Intra-Collegiate Commerce and Management Fest to be held at our College. I was however on a study leave, and I thought to myself that it was ok to take a day off, so I agreed to the plan.

Initially I was sent the poster rather an invitation of the event. And I was told I would judging the " Stress Interview " Round which is the last round of the Best Manager Event. But eventually, I was called up by another junior, Shrihari , One of the Co Convenors alongside Neel. He asked me my schedule and later on asked me to judge Two Rounds of the Event Public Relations. Meanwhile , Sumukh also Confirmed a time slot for Judging a round of the Marketing Event.

After I sat down and saw my timings, the Marketing and Public Relation rounds would clash and hence, I had to let go of Marketing round. But even then I had a pretty tight schedule which began from 11:45 AM upto 4:30PM with a 45 minute gap for lunch.

On the day of the fest,
I reached around 11 in the morning to the College. I first met my co-judge for most of my Rounds, Bhadresh Mallya who was a good friend of mine since my Childhood days. We had a chat regarding the cases and went in search of other known faces. There was Krithika and Neha, my classmate and my senior Respectively who had come to judge various events. We had a brief conversation and went on to judge our respective rounds.
I and Bhadresh had a PR round at 11:45. It was an allegation case based on a real life incident of Mrs. Smriti Irani, when she had found a camera installed in the ladies changing room, at a Boutique.
The Participants were representing the company and it was fun seeing them defend the guilty Company. However some of them did pretty well.

Moving on, the next round for me was around 1:15 which was a Finance and PR collaboration round. It was a Case study, where a Company had plans of getting acquired by a large scale company. But unfortunately due to the brand ambassadors mess act, the company had to face losses. Therefore the finance manager and public relations manager must figure out how to face this crisis scenario.
I got an opportunity to judge with Neha. Finance participants were pretty good.

Moving on, to the Seminar Hall,
Myself, Bhadresh and Sujith (another senior of mine) we had to judge the PR last round. We had given the following characters-

  1. Kangna Ranaut
  2. Virat Kohli
  3. Harshad Mehta
  4. Arnab goswami
The participants were supposed to be a character and present himself to us like it and we would question them about their controversies etc
It was fun. But I expected participants to be quite active but it lacked the intensity.

Lastly, it was my privilege to Judge the final round of Best Manager with my Guru Advocate Vinayak Shet. He is an amazing speaker, a man full of knowledge. Indeed a pleasure to Co judge also alongside Bhadresh. It was not hard for us to coordinate as we three however managed to "stress out" the participants. Mostly with general questions and other funny witty questions.

Overall, it was an incredible experience. Special thanks to Gaurav, Shrihari, Deepak, Aarthi, Neel, Sampreeth, Sumukh and other Juniors for inviting me.
