Ever since I discovered the first accounts of sightings of unidentified flying objects and close encounters, my mind has been filled with questions and speculations.
What kind of life might we encounter, what would they look like, would they be similar in appearance to our own, or would they be completely different?
The diversity of life forms on our own planet makes me think that the possibilities are endless.
Space exploration has revealed the existence of planets in habitable zones, where conditions could be conducive to life as we know it.
The presence of liquid water, essential chemical elements and the ability to generate a stable atmosphere are factors that could support life elsewhere in the universe.
Moreover, the discovery of extremophile micro-organisms in hostile environments on Earth shows that life can adapt to extreme conditions.
But beyond the scientific evidence, my belief in extraterrestrial life is based on deep intuition and the vastness of the universe.
If we consider the number of stars and planets in our own galaxy, the Milky Way, and if we broaden our perspective and think of the billions of galaxies in the observable universe, it is hard to imagine that we are alone.
Moreover, the idea that life developed only on Earth seems to limit the vastness and creativity of the cosmos.
If life could have arisen here, in an insignificant corner of the universe, why couldn't it have arisen elsewhere under different conditions?
