I am not resigned to your absence,
like a shadow that shelters my days,
your laughter echoes in my memories,
like an echo that never fades.
It seems selfish to wish for you,
to have you here, in this world,
where time stands still
and silence shouts your name.
The nights are cold without you,
the stars seem further away,
and in the corner of my chest,
your footprints remain dormant.
I want to feel alive again,
like the river searching for the sea,
but your arms are the home
where my soul wants to rest.
