We are ephemeral in this life,
a brief sigh in the vastness of time.
Shooting stars in the wounded night,
echoes lost in the wind.
We are the heartbeat of a moment,
the burning flame that burns.
The throbbing reflection of a feeling,
a dream that reality periphrases.
We are laughter and tears at the same time,
shared joy and pain.
A verse tattooed on the skin,
a love that leaves traces on the road.
Although our existence is brief,
in that small transitory instant
is enclosed the eternal essence
of a heart that harbours its dream.
We are fleeting, but our footprint
endures beyond the breath of life.
