I don't think there is a choice to happiness. It's not as obvious as 1+1 or √2
Choice presumes that free will is true
Happiness is the lack of a complicated relationship with ourselves.

Hi, thanks for sharing your views. I agree with that perspective. But all I was trying to put together in this post was how being happy or not comes from the decisions we make. It could be complicated but it is still coming from what we choose for ourselves.
