The desire of my thinking

The desire of my thinking grows strong,
It feeds on dreams that never cease.
I cannot caress you, my inert beloved,
My awakened soul, searching for you among the heath.

It is in vain to love you without being able to have you,
If I cannot possess you with fervour.
My longings fade away, impotent,
And fall into oblivion, into the colourless past.

Dreams of little luck, sad destiny,
That fade away in shadows and sorrows.
But my love for you is not a blunder,
Though I cannot offer it to you in a thousand places.

Even in the distance, my love remains,
Waiting for the moment to find you, my king.
