One way to treat a landlord – Freewrite fiction

“Don't push me, boss.”

“I ain't pushin' you yet. You'll know when I push you.”

The landlord stuck his big belly practically in my face though. He was a big man, tall, and I was short, so it literally was in my face. I had to look up to shout at him.

“I'll get the fucking rent to you as soon as I have money,” I said, looking up and raising my voice.

“You need to just get out of here. Move out,” he said, and he inched a step closer on the top of the stairs at my apartment door.

My chin was at his breast bone, and I had to take a step back. I'm not used to being in such close proximity to any dude, and certainly not one that I detest.

I had a brief moment of doubt, but the rage was coming up, and it was gonna break over that doubt at any second.

I dropped. Bent my knees and went into a football stance from my high school days, ready for a perfect form tackle. I wrapped my arms around his knees and lifted and pushed. It wasn't as much of a strain as I would have guessed. Pushing my shoulders on his thighs I managed to lever him so that his body weight was falling backward. Gravity took care of the rest. He flew backward, off the top step and landed flat on his back in the hall one short flight down.

“Choke on that,” I said, lording over him for a change from my apartment door.

I had a readymade fantasy for the prompt today. There's plenty of times my landlord gets impatient about the rent, and unfortunately he turns into this kind of bully. I certainly would enjoy throwing him down some stairs ... but I'm relatively certain I won't ever do it. :)

Sort:

If something like that happened to me, I think I would bend down and grab his ankles and pull him towards me.

That's also pure imagination of what could happen to your bully like that.

Lol, yeah, that would be another way.
