The Orbital Satallite

in Freewriters2 years ago

The orbital satellite doing it's dangest to keep up with the rotation of the earth started to charge up. as the fusion reaction gave life to the machine. The laser diodes finally lit up, each going to a city of funhouse mirrors and combining, before through the lens, it reached the earth at light speeds.
The main character looked on in horror, as the calming gray sky with clouds and rain was disrupted by an unnatural blue glowing twice as bright as the sun. And when the laser struck. The ground melted and started to bulge into a bubble, as it went from red to yellow to pure white and...exploded.
The heat alone made a mushroom cloud, and the explosion melted trees and boiled rocks, a huge avalanche of dust and hellfire flew at mach speeds
that explosion rocked the environment, forests toppled by the dust the death and animals running for their lives with their homes eradicated off the face of the planet, only to be vaporised into their bare essential parts of carbon dust.
From the clouds above, you could see pillars of smoke of boiling steel surrounded a ginormous fireball of rock and dirt that pierced the stratosphere.
And in the crater of what was once a lush forest, no...a lush COUNTRY. The main character looked...underwhelmed, as what happened to him was just a layer of smoke.
He was too strong for his own good.
