Today, I would like to begin a journey on self-discovery a replica of my book “The Voyage of Self-discovery…” by Antoine Uzomaka. It is a series, inspired by the evidential observation of People around me, especially the growing ups and young ones.

At a time, and in a moment when the question of what I want to do, become, or achieve in life, a time when projections towards life goals are made, you discover the absence of such salient questions in the absence of the answers and vision towards such. And then you ask, what are we living for?

Situations around have reduced the essence of existence to just money and materialism. All around, you see the idea of worth tied to the amount of money in the bank, fame, and other forms of possessions.

Who Are YOU?

If you were asked, “Who are you?” can you speak with certainty and confidence to that question? Or would it trigger in you the fact that I have never really known myself oooo?😕 After the discovery of your source (God), is the discovery of self.

Self-discovery is a journey, not just a journey, but a continuous one. It is not just a continuous one, but a conscious one. It is not just a presence, but a conscious presence. It could be done personally or with the help of a personnel. Self-discovery presupposes a presence to self and all activities going on within and without an individual.

Every day is an opportunity to discover self. Begin now and be conscious of every event that happens to you or the people around you.

Self-discovery is also a realization or awareness of how I respond or react to happenings that occur to other people, and not only to myself.

Who Are YOU?
I am Tobechi, Anne, Antoine, Felix, and so on. Now the question is, does it imply that whenever I hear these names, that is you? Does it mean that when some other persons are called by the same name, you are actually those names which they bear? You are not the names you bear or your looks alone.

For those who are conversant with the scriptures, you will discover the reason for God's response to Moses when he asked “whom should I say sent me?” He said, “’I AM’ sent you”. Although this Allusion is a peculiar one, it shows that saying the Lord sent you would not have expressed properly the identity. But then, what should I say when I am asked who I am?

We will get to see this in the next part.
