And that blip in 2020 probably had everything to do with policies implemented because of COVID and nothing to do with the carbon tax proving that all you have to do to reduce carbon output is to destroy the economy.

I have heard the authoritarian environmentalists try to argue we need regular lockdowns for the sake of the environment.
Wouldn't surprise me. But they don't look past the short term effects to what the long term effects might be.
