What I see: A child's legs covered in red dust -- chalk? -- surrounded by red confetti

What I feel -- deeply relieved that my initial impression of blood was wrong, and then further thinking, "What if this is a different kind of life or death situation?"

Rojas loved red and orange.

His family made a red piňata full of red candies and confetti on a day of red and orange fireworks.

He just lay down in all of it to enjoy … last birthday … but then St. Jude Hospital called.
