A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words (Or, Exactly Fifty): Not the Traditional Bird of Peace, BUT ...

What I see: A seagull, after a moment's extra consideration -- I thought it was a dove at first because of the peaceful scene

What I feel: Well, maybe it is the bird of peace for this occasion, because seagulls have famous "skills" that doves aren't considered for!

Old rulers, old quarrels: World War III in the balance.
But the startled seagull dropped its load on the submarine's targeting periscope as it surfaced.
By the time that was cleaned up, all hostilities were called off.
The seagull was not the hero we wanted, but the one we deserved!

Heh, heh, heh, the seagull crashed into the periscope, a witty scene. I don't want to imagine what would become of the planet if the fuse of a ‘third world war’ is lit, and I'm sure a seagull won't stop the nuclear launch… It saddens me…

It is a sad thing to consider, but I look at it this way: we humans think a great deal of our power ... but what if something from Creation ends up putting us in our place? Covid-19 was a wake-up call: we do not have as much time for silly games on this planet as we think!

The viscinity of the submarine being stopped by the load from seagull and finally being called off. So interesting and different. Wish all the wars get stopped like this.

So do I ... if only it were that simple ... this was a dream piece ...

Ha...yes ofcourse my friend

A temporary diversion while cooler heads came to their senses before the line in the sand was crossed. Something to discuss in later years for the naval personnel while they attempt to put the issue in perspective.
