Jameson sighed as he picked up his catcher's mitt. This was the last game they had to win to make the finals. If his team lost here, all of his effort would be for nothing. He walked out onto the field. His team was waiting for him, his parents watching from the stands.
As he stepped onto the home plate he locked eyes with the other team's pitcher, Jeffery Garrison, the most infamous pitcher in the league. Infamous for being terrible that is.
"Lets hope you don't strike out again," said Jeffery.
"Shove it ball winder" Jameson retorted.
Jeffery got in position and wound up. Jameson was ready. Jeffery pitched the ball too far to the side, but his father was the umpire so he didn't call a foul. Jeffery pitched again, completely missing Jameson by about five feet.
Jameson knew that if he wanted to win he would have to pull a miracle out of his ass. Jeffery pitched for the third and final time. This time Jameson was ready. He stepped to the left and swung. He hit the ball dead on. But instead of flying off into the distance, it barreled straight for Jeffery. Smack! The ball hit Jeffery right in the nards. Jeffery fell to the ground in pain, but to Jameson's surprise the umpire didn't call a foul.
Jameson chuckled as he sprinted all the way around back to the home plate. "Haha suck it Garrison!" Jameson called out, His team cheering him on. They won the Game and Jameson went home more satisfied than he had ever been in his life.
