Residents of Geudong-Geudong Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, used their voting rights to elect Tuha Peut Gampong (Village) for the 2024-2030 period, Saturday, 06/29/2024.
This activity took place at the Gampong Mosque Complex. The Tuha Peut Gampong election activity took place safely and orderly. 15 prospective candidates participated representing three hamlets, 15 candidates consisting of Pusu Lawah, Kuta Trieng and Geudong Sagoe hamlets.
The election for Tuha Peut Gampong started at around 08.15. WIB, until 14.00. WIB, followed by vote counting. Of the total voter list of 2,800, only 966 voters exercised their voting rights.
Of the 15 candidates, only 9 people are entitled to occupy the position of Tuha Peut Gampong Geudong-Geudong for the 2024-2030 period.
Those selected as Tuha Peut Gampong Geudong-Geudong for the 2024-2030 period are Azhari, Abdul Salam and Nilawati who represent Pusu Lawah Hamlet. Meanwhile M. Nur, Jafaruddin and Afdhal represented Kuta Trieng Hamlet, while Aniswar, Syahrial and Faisal Razali represented Geudong Sagoe Hamlet.
Those who are selected will occupy the four elements of Tuha Peut, namely religious leaders, intellectuals, youth and women. The election of Tuha Peut Gampong Geudong-Geudong Village was carried out in connection with the end of the term of office of the previous Tuha Peut period.
