Britney had made plans for the evening together with her friend, Rachel who was coming to town from college. Britney really looked forward to seeing her friend and could not keep her excitement, she did talk about her enthusiasm towards having the evening with Rachel.
They had been friends for a long time, and their communication became a distant one when Rachel went to college. This was why Britney was so excited to see her childhood friend, she had felt they should hangout after such a long time.
Rachel arrived and met with Britney but the Rachel that returned was not the same that left. She had grown beyond what Britney use to know and now she had a new best friend from college, in which she brought to the meeting with Britney.
Britney was not happy Rachel had grown beyond their childhood memories, and even brought someone else to their special get-together. Britney's arrangements started falling apart because she had prepared for just the tow of them, and a journey along memory lane but it seems plan has to accomodate one more. If Rachel had told her she was bringing someone else, she would not have agreed to the meeting.
Now, a new arrangement had to be made and the night took a different turn.

Change it's a constant that can happen at any time. Would have been nice if Rachel had informed Britney about her new friend
