My Last Job

Initially, teaching and caring for little kids had always been my dream job. I love to see little children all around me, sing with them and play with them. It makes me happy and fulfilled.

I got a job in a primary school located two streets away from my house. I was to teach kindergarten children ranging from ages 4 to 5. I was really excited because it was a dream come true for me.

My resumption to work on that Monday morning killed all the love I had for teaching jobs. The school made me see teaching as a worthless job because the teachers were not well regarded. The director was a saucy and proud type who could talk to anyone just anyhow.

The job was really stressful because I had to teach two classes of eight children each. There was no time for resting and even during break periods, the teachers were meant to do one irrelevant thing or the other. The school children resume by 7:30am and close by 3:00pm, but all teachers are meant to stay in school till 5:00pm everyday.

Although I love all the amazing children I taught, the management system of the school fueled a phobia for teaching in my heart. After working for three months, I could no longer endure the hectic nature of the job. Thus, I resigned and decided not to teach again.
