She walked with me
Suffused in my smiles,
Cloaked in modest apparel
Of Chastity,
A hint of mischief
In her lovely eyes.
She talked with me
In the scared tones
Of religious language
Uncertainty suddenly settling
On her frail frame
She prayed with me
Seeking answers
To emotional matters
An aversion
To what must be.
Now a certain resolve
Is all we share;
To hear alright, plan alright
A resolve to silently love
With solid commitments.
