You are welcome, it all amazes me how someone would start to figure it all out, I mean when it happens, how did they know the other side of the world has the same amount of daylight as we did?
The precession of the equinoxes was discovered by Greek astronomer Hipparchus around 127 BC. Hipparchus noticed that the positions of stars in his star catalog were different from earlier Babylonian measurements. He concluded that the stars weren't moving, but instead, the Earth was.
