A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words : Nature Alone is Antique

in Freewriters2 years ago

there was a bee who was caught in the rain where can I hide, he wondered in vain. He saw a mushroom peeking out and he crawled underneath and looked about

he waited and waited for the rain to stop but it rained even harder on the mushroom top. A wet butterfly flew down nearby and crawled up to the mushroom and began to cry.

“ My wings, I can’t feel it, they are broken and wet , i cannot fly yet ”

Come in dear cousin, here you can dry. The bee moved over and made room for one more, and the rain fell heavy than it did before.

A mouse speeding up . let me in he said, i'm far from home. There's hardly room here, what will closer come said the butterfly and the bee at one.

They huddled together and made room for the mouse while the rain fell harder on the mushroom house. A little red bird flew down to the forest floor, her wings were dripping, and her arms were sore.

“i need to rest till the rain has stopped, i'm battered about from bottom to top. Just come in, dear friend said her friends inside. we'll have more room in the back. They huddled together and made room for the bird, they looked out at it raining without speaking a word.

A rabbit hopped into the clearing and seeing the mushroom. “oh hide me”, he cried. “save me quick, a fox is chasing me.”

Let's bring him inside and a shelter will be, the rabbit was hidden and the old fox side, “have you seen in the woods a rabbit nearby ?”

“You silly fox, how could it be ? can't you see we hardly have room for three ?”

The fox turned his nose and flicked his tail and ran off as the little friends huddled beneath the mushroom top and then the clouds went away and the sun shone bright while each little creature came out in the light.

The rabbit hopped out and into the glen, the bird flew off to her nest again, the rabbit was gone. Now,, the mouse ran off and did not stop. The butterfly lifted and fluttered and went to a flower top, and the little bee wondered as he crawled away.

Wow, there so much room to stay right now ? The old wise snail came out from his log and he sighed a big sigh and loudly say don't you know when it rains the mushrooms grow ?.

I love this poem/rhyme but it's hard to read. If you edit it, it makes a world of difference.

Thanks for joining pic1000! 👍

This is such a beautiful story. I really enjoyed it. The mushroom was big enough for all the living creature to hide from rain. Nice work here. 👍👍

Nature is wise and man never learns from her, but rather challenges her…. Nice fable.
