Computer engineering proffesion is one of the most lucrative one that entails you to stick by it rules in order to win clients mind.

It's all about working for clients or else you go sit in the office for a 9-6 job repairing different systems and also waiting for salary at the end of the month whereas you can become a client hunter at your own pace.

This article tends to focus on the guidelines that covers the computer engineering proffesion.

What is computer engineering?
Computer engineering is the aspect of engineering that deals with the repairs and maintenance of computer systems.

It might be a laptop repairs or desktop repairs what ever the case, as long as there is fixing of a fault then it's a computer engineering job.

Who is a computer engineer?
A computer engineer is one who carries out the duties of repairing or fixing fault in the computer system.

There are three types of computer engineer namely.

The hardware engineer
Hardware engineering has to do with repairs of physical parts of the system that can be seen, touched and carried about. Just as the name implies, they are the repairers of the hard part of the system.

Software engineer
Software engineer are the people that write codes in form of programs for the computer system.

For the example,
I want to design a door that will make use of facial recognition to open for entry. I have to first design to the hardware part of the door and which can be seen .

After that is done, I will give it to a software designer to make or design a software to enable the door serve electronically. As a software engineer, I will write codes that will save facial recognition of the owners of the house.

Fast forward to what we have as the topic known as guidelines in repairing a computer system

The following are the require guidelines mearnt for computer engineers.

Do not work with wet hands in the computer system

If your hands are wet please try to keep them dried up so as not to contribute to the risk of electrical shock.

Ensure there is insulation between you and the ground

When testing the computer to see how effective it is, it is necessary to put on an insulated material such as a shoe.

The moment you plug the computer to test it, there are some computer components that retain the power even after you have disconnected it from the power source.

Avoid the use of liquid close to the computer when it is in operation.

Do not plug the computer while you are still working on it.

A lot of people make such mistakes to allow the computer bto be plugged while they are currently working on it.

This can lead to the risk of an electronic shock or discharge. It is also dangerous if the computer engineer does not even have an insulation between you and the ground.

In Canada or the US, in order to be an "engineer" you are legally required under the law to be a member of a local professional association.

In terms of writing code, these people are generally called "developers" and not "software engineers". Software engineering is far more advanced than simply writing code. Engineers possess scientific and math skills, which are needed to develop an optimized product.
For example, image and video processing algorithms are developed by engineers that know tons of math needed to process the image (for example, convolutions, Fourier transforms, Nyquist sampling theory, linear signals and systems theory, etc.). Establishing these libraries to work efficiently takes years of research. But a good developer doesn't need to know any math to develop a good product if they know which libraries to use and how.

That's good though. Learnt a lot quite informative.
But if an engineer designs and implement, what stops him or her from repairing?

Of course, a good engineer is capable of repairing stuff :) Just wanted to share the difference in terminology.
