Growing Up, Tobi and Chike Were Considered Two Peas In A Pod because of their closeness. They were inseparable and everyone knew them to be the best of friends, right from kindergarten to high school.
They shared in each other's joys and sadness, confided in each other, dreamed of great things and a beautiful future, they also occasionally got into trouble. They were such close friends that they didn’t have to rely on words to express themselves, just a look or tilt of the head would suffice.
However, everything seemed to take a turn during the last year of high school. Tobi, who had always been the more studious of the two, won a scholarship to a foreign university while all Chike wanted to do was be present to assist with the family business. Initially, nobody seemed to question the distance. They stayed in contact and sent each other long emails, made phone calls, and video conversations, and shared videos. Little by little, Tobi’s new life began to pull him away from the life they shared before. He made new friends, had new hobbies, and had less and less time to communicate with Chike.
Chike however felt anger and disappointment. He felt he had lost his arch friend, he also felt as though he had lost his significant half to Tobi’s world. Their exchanges became farther apart, more strained, at times, awkward. The rapport that existed between them earlier had come to an abrupt end .
