Hay veces que podemos ver cosas que parecen ficción y que realmente hace pensar que la vida a veces parece un “show de Truman”, pues en cierta manera, en algunos trabajos, podemos ver como hay jefes que quieren abusar de su posición para con los inferiores, y es algo que simplemente pasa y seguirá pasando acá y en todos lados, porque algunas veces los jefes no son líderes sino solo personas que quieren “mandar”.

Y es que he conocido casos en los que ha habido podría decirse abusos de parte de los jefes al ver o notar como sus inferiores hacen un buen trabajo y solamente quieren un pedazo de su pastel de una manera u otra, y es que, por ejemplo, algunas veces aprovechándose de méritos ajenos, algo que siempre he visto mal, porque si no es tuyo para que hacerlo tuyo en cierta manera, pero bueno cada cabeza es un mundo.

Recuerdo que, en mi anterior empleo, mi jefa era así, de cierta manera, esta era una persona que siempre estaba pendiente de lo malo o lo bueno que uno hiciera y no necesariamente para alguna felicitación, sino para hacer de ella lo bueno y lo “malo” simplemente reportarlo en cierta manera, como si fuera un fin de mundo, pues como todos, alguna que otra vez llegaba tarde, por no más de 5 minutos, o si por ejemplo, iba a almorzar y me llamaban y no atendía, decía que no estaba comprometido con la empresa.

Y el caso más grave que recuerdo fue una vez en la que yo realice unos ajustes en la distribución de la planta, para optimizar espacios y mejorar la ergonomía de trabajo tanto particular como general sobre mis colaboradores, y recuerdo que el jefe (el dueño) le pareció una idea excelente y que no lo habían pensado de esa manera y una vez comprobado que funcionaba, pues dio luz verde al asunto, y cuando mi jefa vio aquello, le iba a dar algo..

Puesto que empezó a decir que quien había autorizado eso, que me iba a llamar al jefe para que él viera el “desastre” que yo hice y que como era posible que me tomara estas atribuciones sobre un diseño que ya tenían.. y yo como sabía que todo era ya arreglado y ordenado por el mismo jefe, yo me quede tranquilo, y la mujer venía con una actitud de lo peor y le dice al jefe que como se me va a ocurrir a mí hacer eso y él simplemente le explicó que era una mejora que había hecho y que realmente aportaba algo y que, aunque no era mi trabajo eso, lo hice.

A lo que está atónita, le dice al jefe “¿usted autorizó esto?”, y este le dice que sí, pues en uno de sus recorridos por la planta, se encontró con la idea que le planteé y que una vez puesta en marcha era una idea que mejoraba todo, y que, aunque eso era el trabajo de ella, yo lo hice aun sin ser mi trabajo, y que agradecía el compromiso y el enfoque que tenía con esas ideas que aportaba.

Ella sin más remedio tuvo que tragar en seco y calmarse ante la respuesta del jefe y no le quedo otra que simplemente agradecerme entre los dientes que había hecho algo que ella no se había planteado y que al mismo tiempo le ahorre trabajo pese a que en cierta manera, le hice su trabajo, cosa que no mejoro nuestra relación laboral, pero que dio a ver que no hay que subestimar y mucho menos actuar de la manera en la que ella lo hacia..

And I have known cases in which there have been abuses from the bosses when they see or notice how their inferiors do a good job and only want a piece of their cake in one way or another, for example, sometimes taking advantage of other people's merits, something that I have always seen wrong, because if it is not yours, why make it yours in a certain way, but well, every head is a world of its own.

I remember that, in my previous job, my boss was like that, in a certain way, this was a person who was always aware of the bad or the good that one did and not necessarily for some congratulations, but to make her the good and the “bad” simply report it in a certain way, as if it were an end of the world, because like everyone, some other time I was late, for no more than 5 minutes, or if for example, I went to lunch and they called me and I did not attend, she said she was not committed to the company.

And the most serious case I remember was once when I made some adjustments in the distribution of the plant, to optimize spaces and improve the ergonomics of work both particular and general on my employees, and I remember that the boss (the owner) thought it was an excellent idea and that they had not thought of it that way and once verified that it worked, he gave the green light to the matter, and when my boss saw that, she was going to give him something.

Since she started to say that who had authorized that, that she was going to call me to the boss so that he could see the “disaster” that I made and that it was possible that I was taking these attributions on a design that they already had.... And as I knew that everything was already arranged and ordered by the boss himself, I remained calm, and the woman came with an attitude of the worst and told the boss that how could it occur to me to do that and he simply explained that it was an improvement that I had made and that really contributed something and that, although it was not my job, I did it.

To which she was astonished, she said to the boss “did you authorise this?”, and he said yes, because in one of his tours of the plant, he came across the idea that I proposed and that once implemented it was an idea that improved everything, and that, although that was her job, I did it even though it was not my job, and that he appreciated the commitment and focus that she had with those ideas that she contributed.

She had no choice but to swallow dryly and calm down before the boss's answer and she had no choice but to simply thank me between her teeth that I had done something that she had not considered and that at the same time I saved her work even though, in a way, I did her work, which did not improve our working relationship, but it showed that we should not underestimate and much less act the way she did it.
