It was wonderful while that fiery idyll lasted. I loved you! No, I love you! Beyond anything you can imagine. Every feeling of yours, every caress, every kiss given from a distance, was and is the most sublime thing for my soul in love. Yes, I know... everything happened far away, without seeing us face to face.
It was hard for me to understand that love is not only matter, flesh and blood. From the heart one also learns to love without physical limits. So it was and our ethereal romance would have continued had it not been for the fact that neither of us knew how to understand the other on that occasion.
From here, from my solitary corner, I will continue to love you unconditionally. How long? I don't know. Maybe a whole eternity. From afar I will continue to caress you with my mind, kissing not your ephemeral body but your immortal soul.
Someday perhaps the generous destiny will want our paths to cross again. And then, perhaps, we can finally be together as we long for. For in this life it could not be... my love.
