LUNA VIAJERA
Mirando la luna que pasa
y yo tras de ella voy
buscando a dónde irá
quién le dirá
que con su andar
nos hace andar tras de ella.
La luna camina en el espacio
no tiene pies ni brazos
pero la vemos andar
sin saber a dónde va.
Es la luna viajera
la que nos anima la búsqueda
la que camina sin cesar
por todo el espacio
se ve mover en su andar
como flotando sobre el mar.
Ver la luna en su ida y venida
es ver la noche infinita
sin que el sol se de cuenta
que la luna en su andar
nunca le pregunta
a dónde vas luna mía
que desespero por tu andar.
La luna andante va y viene
y juega su luz con la mar
y las noches se hacen largas
cuando no quiere dejar
de andar y de andar.
TRAVELING MOON
Watching the moon go by
and I follow it
looking for where it will go
who will tell it
that with its walking
it makes us walk after it.
The moon walks in space
it has no feet or arms
but we see it walk
without knowing where it goes.
It is the traveling moon
that encourages our search
that walks without ceasing
throughout space
we see it move in its walk
as if floating on the sea.
Seeing the moon in its coming and going
is seeing the infinite night
without the sun realizing
that the moon in its walking
never asks it
where are you going my moon
how desperate for your walking.
The walking moon comes and goes
and plays its light with the sea
and the nights become long
when it does not want to stop
walking and walking.
