I've always known that some groups hinder rather than help group members. The mindset of the club and its contributions should be the primary goal when considering whether to join any group or organization. I share a story based on this decision whose prompt is "clique". The story is in the form of a ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge. This challenge created by @felt-buzz is for stories in exactly 50 words.
My story is below:
Zorah Connelly sat tapping her foot once the sorority leader grabbed the microphone.
Adams. Barton. Brewer.
Zorah's pulse beat faster.
Donnelly. Frazier.
Amelia embraced Zorah and nodded.
Zorah rose, grabbed her backpack, and dashed across the lawn, promising to end the clique pledging.
Months later, Zorah joined worthy academic clubs.
