When I think of the word "therapist," numerous type of professionals come to mind. These highly trained and specialized individuals assist people in understanding issues about themselves or their their external environment that relate to their well being. One can't label anyone who requires the assistance of a therapist. It's an individual decision to seek professional help once the attempt to resolve the issue on one's own fails.
For my ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge this week, I share a flash fiction story about a therapist helping an individual. The format of this challenge was created by by @felt-buzz and is told in exactly 50 words.
My story is below:
Sheldon stepped from the elevator onto the penthouse' sixty-sixth floor. Trembling, he knocked at the last apartment door.
Inside, the hooded crowd spoke in unison. "Your entire life, we've waited."
Allowing Angelica's clammy, disfigured hand to lead him, he suddenly shrunk back staring at the sacrificial bed.
The therapist spoke.

Cuando pienso en la palabra "terapeuta", me vienen a la mente numerosos tipos de profesionales. Estas personas altamente cualificadas y especializadas ayudan a las personas a comprender cuestiones de sí mismas o de su entorno externo relacionadas con su bienestar. No se puede etiquetar a nadie que requiera la ayuda de un terapeuta. Es una decisión individual buscar ayuda profesional una vez que fracasa el intento de resolver el problema por uno mismo.
Para mi reto de los lunes de ZAPFIC50 de esta semana, comparto una historia de ficción flash sobre un terapeuta que ayuda a una persona. El formato de este reto fue creado por @felt-buzz y se cuenta en exactamente 50 palabras.
A continuación mi historia.
La cita
Sheldon salió del ascensor y entró en el piso sesenta y seis del ático. Tembloroso, llamó a la puerta del último apartamento.
Dentro, los encapuchados hablaban al unísono. "Llevamos toda la vida esperando".
