The ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge prompt for this week is "stand". I was excited to be able to use this prompt so quickly as I already had a story in mind for another prompt. Just needed to adjust the wording to fit the 50 word limit. The prompt gave me the opportunity to use use the meaning in two different ways...action and object. This challenge was created by @felt-buzz.
My story is below:
Julio stomped the flyer then glanced at his watch. Maria could be home soon. How could he explain the sudden tax on her lemonade stand?
Clenching his teeth, he formulated a plan.
"How much for a cup, Maria?" The customer smiled.
From behind, Julio handed the buyer a handwritten referendum.

El tema del desafío de los lunes de ZAPFIC50 para esta semana es «estar de pie». Me entusiasmó poder utilizar este tema tan rápidamente porque ya tenía una historia en mente para otro tema.
