Every street in Zeelis was stained with blood. It was an exciting city to live in, but it was also dangerous. Maybe that is where some of the excitement comes from.
While it had risen stronger than ever, so did the people. Heavy arms in the hands of the desperate.
It has been so long since I wrote a Zapfic, and to be honest, I really miss the weekly prompts that would release in Freewriters.
During those prompts, I wrote a ton of mini-stories, some of which became full short stories, and others were more like seasoning, which helped to add flavour to other stories I was writing.
Anything that encourages a bit of creativity is good, regardless of whether it is presented in 50 words, or 50,000.
