Hello Hive. 😃 I'm back again with another @drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "drown them!" taken from @daily.prompt's post
If you will like to write microfiction in 100 words, feel free to give this challenge a try.
"Drown them! Now!" Amarachi whispered to her husband, Chigozie. The usually tranquil stream was flowing fast, the water bubbling noisily in the dead of the night.
Chigozie's bulging eyes darted left and right in fear while the live rats he captured inside a ziplock bag struggled to be free.
"Are you crazy? What are you waiting for?" Amarachi almost yelled as he dropped the bag into the stream and the raging water swallow it whole.
Amarachi grabbed his hand, pulled him and they ran away from the stream, hoping their sacrifice was acceptable to the goddess of Jisie Ike stream.
Thanks for reading!
Amarachi and her husband sacrifice rats to the goddess, it seems the husband didn't want to do the sacrific, but Amarachi push him, because he was refusing to drop the bag inside the stream.
You're correct. Maybe Chigozie was worried about the rats drowning in the stream. 😃 Thanks for the read.
Thanks too, I admire your reply.
