My secret daughter.
There's the beautiful and pretty girl
who doesn't know that I am her father
and her mother doesn't want her to know,
but I feel like it so much
to reveal the secret to her now.
I'm sure the girl will send me in
and offer me a freshly brewed coffee
while I'm bursting with desire
to tell her that I've loved her forever
Though I have to fight the fire.
She gently opens the door for me
and I notice through the window
that her mother is beckoning me
not to tell her about it
and I keep quiet, as it should be.

This line is particularly touching and sweet. Every father longs to assure their daughter of their love and devotion.
In this case, it's almost unbearable that the daughter is torn between her parents and restrained from experiencing her father's love. That the father chooses silence rather than revealing himself to her means it's for a greater good or to cover up a secret. A very fine poem! Thanks for sharing. !PIZZA 🙂
Oh, but what a shocking and satisfying comment! Grateful to a high degree and power.
I wonder about the fire...
Perhaps, certain stories shouldn't be told.
🍀❤️
A well-kept secret, I hope there's a genuine reason for this.... As if there ever could be 😔
How can one manage to keep such a secret? Why would her mother not want her little girl to enjoy the love and care of her father? That's rather selfish!
It is difficult to imagine the reason for keeping this situation hidden.
That's bad for the mum to keep such secret from her daughter. I hope she gets to know
The end was really sad.
The girl should know the truth, I am sure that's what would make her more happier, but what is the reason the mother wants you to hide the truth from her?.
