A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link
Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.
A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

I think this is really important for everyone to have with the way things are going in the world right now, you can't just rely on one income especially for a man.
The bills keep increasing everyday for a man, for a lady too, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and for me writing is like is side hustle and the profit I make as helped me lot of time when I'm totally out of funds.
Been using writing as my side hustle since 2017. It was this side hustle that paid for my first lunch date. Even if your income is great you still need to have a side hustle

Yes, we have had many jobs and stayed our own bosses.
That's the best thing to do, tour side can later be something serious when you decide to be your own full time boss

Wow, I just found a new role model
Glad to be your role model, now I can add that to my list, hehehehe. You got me to thinking about the jobs that I have done to stay self-employed. When my kids were small, I babysat for others, I had 9 kids that I watched. I dug wild clams and sold them, I fished, when fishing was bad in the summer I picked palmetto berries, I grew plants and grew clams from the size of beach sand to the size of tennis balls, and I cleaned houses. I have managed to stay my own boss and you can do it, too.
Wow, this is much.... For a woman, this is amazing.... Currently working on my fish farm..not much flexibility with the time here and opportunities are few but still not going to give up and definitely work things out with God help

Thank you for the prompt. Here is the result of my 5-minute #freewrite.
It’s been happening for a while now; he wakes up before dawn and rushes to the toilet with diarrhea. Then he sits for a few minutes and mindlessly scrolls Facebook on his phone without looking at the pictures. He sobs quietly, and tears trickle down his cheeks. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He flushes the toilet, washes his hands, and splashes water on his face washing the tears away.
He wonders how much longer he can do this. Is this really what life is about? He looks out the window; the sun is starting to rise, and it looks like it will be a nice day. But it doesn’t matter; he’ll spend the next nine hours confined to a stuffy room, not his own, doing mind-numbing pointless tasks because, for some unknown reason, in this reality, this is what people are expected to do all day.
