In a leafy forest lived a gluttonous fox who knew no moderation. His sole purpose was to devour whatever food he could find in his path, regardless of whether he was hungry or not.
One day, as he wandered around looking for his next prey, he came across a huge honeycomb overflowing with the sweetest and most fragrant honey.
The fox, possessed by gluttony, began to gobble the honey unceremoniously. First he greedily licked up every drop that trickled down the combs, then he tore off whole chunks with his jaws and swallowed them in one mouthful.
Honey dribbled down his snout and paws, but he continued to devour unceasingly.
So absorbed was he in satiating his voracious appetite that he did not notice the arrival of a swarm of angry bees that attacked him mercilessly.
The fox fled, being chased by the bees, until he stumbled, being clumsy because of his fatness, and fell into a quagmire, being completely soaked and covered with mud.
The bees stung him, causing him immense pain that eventually led to his death.
Moral: Insatiable gluttony clouds judgement and can lead to bitter consequences. Moderation is the key to enjoying life's pleasures to the full.
