In the vast desert dunes, a limping camel was trudging along. His limping gait hindered the caravan to which he belonged. The rest of the camels easily overtook him, leaving him unceremoniously behind.
One day, a wise Bedouin travelling with the caravan took pity on the poor animal and approached him.
-My camel friend, I see that your lameness is causing you great suffering. Let me help you to alleviate it, -he said kindly.
The camel, surprised by these kind words, nodded gratefully. The Bedouin then examined his injured leg and applied a healing ointment. He then tied a protective bandage around the affected area.
From then on, the camel was able to move around with less pain. Touched by the Bedouin's selfless gesture, he vowed to himself never to forget that lesson: a small act of kindness can make a big difference, even in the most arid of deserts.
