Laid on the bed with his eyes darting from one end of the room to another is a perplexed, numb and partly phlegmatic young man with so much on his mind.
As the ineffable thoughts kept streaming in like sea waves into the corridors of his beautiful mind, he shudders at the alarming nature of the thoughts.
His cognitive engine leaves him at a loss, because of its inability to provide the answers to the unutterable thoughts that seems like a conundrum to the unprecedented efficiency of his cognitive engine.
As the moment of introspection went on, he often will move his limbs from one side of the bed to another with the faintest of hope that answers might turn up magically from somewhere.
The incessant search for those elusive answers drew him back to focus squarely on the matter at hand, with the view to fully understand the precarious situation.
The level of evil perpetrated in the world at large, most precisely Africa, beats my imagination. And people affinity towards negativity of late is unheard of in the timeline of history. From the wanton killing of peaceful protesters at Lekki Tollgate, in Nigeria, to the mayhem unleashed on the citizens of Myanmar, by their own military,and to the corruptible efforts of the Nigerian government to see that the secession plans held by tribes in southern Nigeria, never sees the light of the day are few illustrious events of questionable character that comes to mind.
Another set of behavioral actions that disturbed the young man heavily is the recent surge in people affinity towards negativity; in the area of intimacy, good hearted people are never given the time of the day, rather the infamous "bad boy/bad girl" cohorts are paid rapt attention from the start. And they become the apple of most people eyes.
In the area of livelihood; those who have made the decision to pursue their gains legitimately, don't even get to reach the zenith of financial status. In most cases,they die or face insurmountable challenges that render their lives useless. While a person who dives into nefarious means of making income becomes a millionaire in a matter of days. And even gets to live longer than the man of honest gains.
In the area of morality; people tend to avoid the man that upholds the truth, but cling strongly to the man that propagates profanity. Evil is like the new normal. The lessons our various religion had taught us on embracing good and eschewing evil is like a cliche of late.
The young man is baffled by this recent turn of events. Questions marks are littered all over the floors of his beautiful mind but answers remain elusive as ever. With his hands akimbo and his countenance as pale as ever.
He began to reel off the questions;
has there been a change in the moral core of the universe, where good is dominated by evil?
Who is to blame for this drastic change?
Can this situation be remedied?
Answers to the questions are highly welcomed. I wish to know more because, i am extremely worried.
