I'm not a mystic or anything, but haven't you ever thought that maybe there might be some hidden code or algorithm in the vast cosmos, which we cannot easily access but can only see the results of it through the senses?
These are things that have crossed my mind, of perhaps some kind of information present in the cosmos which is charged with organising matter using physical laws without being those laws, and that having access to them may allow us to alter reality or matter to anything imagined.
Some have even tried to include consciousness in physics as one more dimension among the four already known.
Another case is found in Pythagoras who placed numbers on a divine throne.
We also have Parmenides who denied motion, because what exists is pure being, and that the information provided by the senses is pure illusion.
Another thing to note also is the problem of qualia, which makes a person reflect deeply on the quality of objects (besides being one of my favourite problems).
And finally we also have Descartes who tried to divide the mind or reason from the senses.
Perhaps all this is rooted in the fact that in the human being there are two worlds, the one outside him, and the one in his mind.
This is the origin of idealism and realism (or empiricism). Plato and Aristotle are peculiar cases, where Plato gave reality to the ideas that are transcendent, and the sensible world he explains as a shadow of the ideas.
Whereas Aristotle does the opposite.
Anyway, these are questions that have arisen in my mind, and rather than having a feeling about them, I have thought about them and will continue to think about them.
As it was said somewhere before: "Philosophy is thinking things through".
