Entertainment for the Bees

“I'm buzzing."

“Oh, are you excited about anything?”

“No,” replied Mr B. “I'm a bee. It's what I do.”

“Oh,” replied Mrs B. “I thought you had something important going on.”

Meanwhile, by the nearby park, it is a beautiful sunny day. Football is being played by children.

“I'm buzzing,” said Johnny B. Johnny is a human and is not related to Mr B.

“Why are you buzzing?” asked Freddie B. Freddie is related to Johnny. They're brothers.

“I don't know,” said Johnny. “Maybe it's the nice weather. There's something in the air. It feels like it's going to be a good day.”

However, this is England. In England, the weather is a big liar.

That means a massive storm.

Down came the rain. The children went home. The day has become dull.

“Are you still buzzing?” Mrs B asked Mr B.

“Yes,” replied Mr B. “It's what I do.”

“Sad though, isn't it. Everyone was having such fun in the park. Then the clouds came and all the children went home.”

“A miserable story,” said Mr B. “Who writes this miserable stuff.”

“It's not miserable,” said Mrs B. “We will entertain ourselves in the home. Maybe the children will too.”

“Yes,” said Mr B. “I suppose they will. What shall we do?”

“Let's have some warm tea,” said Mrs B.

They sat down and had tea.

“Do you know something?” said Mr B. “If I was writing this story, I wouldn't have bothered with the rain. Why spoil everyone's fun?”

“The story is what it is,” said Mrs B. “It's just life.”

…..with that, Mr and Mrs B enjoyed a nice afternoon indoors.

After the riots in the UK, I decided to leave X. Seems like it's the in thing now. I'm using BlueSky instead.
