She definitely thought she had found the one who would take all the pain away, she was so sure she did.
He seemed perfect, he ticked off a lot off her check list. Never would she think she made a mistake with him.
At the point where she was talking to him about feelings, him not being certain, it was pointless fighting for it anymore.
He made her believe they had the same desires and dreams. She fought so much to trust him with her feelings. Just the other day, they had so much fun together on their weekend away and it felt so real.
Realizing it was all in her imaginations, she knew she had to break out of whatever that was because the feelings were one sided and that definitely wasn’t healthy for her fragile heart.
Would she have preferred it any other way? She thought yes but sadly, she had no such luck. Why did she have to be so unlucky?
‘Let’s do the responsible thing and stop seeing each other’ were the only words she could summon at that point.
Goodbye never hurt as much because she realized at that moment she was totally in love with him.
