Loved this post. I love the way you explain "for dummies", and dunno if I'm dummy in the topic or not, but it helped me understand certain personal experiences.
Your individual power may drop the more you hunger to be part of a group. Rosa Parks claimed her power because she literally didn’t care if the entire group hated her. She wanted to sit, she knew the risks, and she stepped up and took them.”
Some time ago I noticed some people started calling me "influencer" on Facebook and I didn't get exactly why. Now thanks to you I get it. It seems I did some kind of revolutionary movement by sharing my "nude" photos from time to time and standing still in my position that it didn't make me less deserving of respect, no matter how many dirty or offensive comments I got. I didn't care if some people chose to block me, and it just made new people started to follow.
A lot of times, a charismatic person gets attention, becomes a leader, and then sucks at leading. Just how it is. The masses have given them power, failed to stop their meteoric rise, and now they’re entrenched.
I love this paragraph because it accurately reveals what's been happening in my country since decades now... A pair of charismatic guys got to be presidents and they're just been playing the fool to us since then, because although in the beggining they may have had good intentions, they came to be the worst leaders ever.
Our best leaders may be right under our nose, but the masses will never elect them because they aren’t looking for them, and since these leaders aren’t really ‘attention-chasers’ they’ll never end up on the radar. But that’s a talk for another time.”
This is something I deeply believe too. I think that those that are really prepared to be leaders are those that are truly aware of the huge responsibility that comes with it, and that truly care about the amounts of good or bad that may outcome from their actions, so after considering all of that, most of the best possible leaders choose not to take the leadership anyway... hahaha #Sad
“I see more and more extreme views, more polarization, more controversy, and more knee-jerk reactions. I see less voices of reason, and the ones who are reasonable may get cancelled, ignored, or buried in noise. I see influencers doing our thinking for us while everyone just upvotes and downvotes blindly according to their triggers. I see us all pretending we’re autonomous free-thinkers but instead we’re heading towards conformity with whatever corporations, celebs, and the media tell us to think.”
"Whew... could you be a more disillusioned, cynical, millennial?"
Man, This paragraph... I have no words, really, I'll just say I agree to it with all my heart. Geez! What a time to be alive, right?? hahaha
Incredible your whole post. You've been my inspiration to not be afraid of writing something long if you're sure the topic will worth it!
Sorry for bad English (?
Thanks for sharing. You have my follow.
So glad you enjoyed the post, @nioberojas !
I usually write my explanations so that hopefully a child can understand.
I love your story about standing by your "nude" photos. That is the kind of bold behavior that ruffles a groups's feathers and can get someone 'banned' or it can turn someone into an influencer. (Which it sounds like it did for you!)
And yes, that happens in many countries. It's quite common, historically, though it'd be nice if it changed. :)
I totally agree with you, the most prepared leaders are the ones who responsibly weigh the outcome of all their actions, and then choose with the most positive intentions. That same trait may cause them to avoid leadership, as you said, or to focus so much on it that they neglect to become 'attention-getters' and so they go undiscovered, unelected.
Well, that paragraph was an angst-driven emotional outburst from a censored teenager, but it does hold some seeds of truth. At the same time one could also look around and see more love than ever. Vitalik donating to help India. More artists, musicians, and creators than the planet has ever had before. Incredible movements like web 3.0 and DeFi paving the way for new systems and (hopefully) better ways of living. Since there's two sides to every coin, we all get to choose which view of the world we focus on. The picture the news and the media paints, or the picture mother nature and evolution paints. Definitely food for thought. Either way, I'm glad you liked that paragraph and that it resonated with you, it was fun to write.
And I'm thrilled you got value out of the post and took time to express such emotion, passion, and appreciation here. Thank you.
I'd love to read a long-form piece you write on a topic you feel is worth it. And your English seems totally fine, possibly even above average, to me. Much appreciation! 🙏
Totally true about those two sides of the coin!
I usually make jokes about it:
I think there will always be a pessimist teenager in my heart... u.u
hahaha, anyway, I'll be honored if you read me some day, I hope to find the time and courage to write something of this level ❤️
Keep on the good job!
Hahaha, very good point (and joke!)
And maybe so, maybe that teenager is in everyone, lol, who knows.
And yes, I started to read your story about the 'cousin', but had to stop to help some clients, post on Instagram, and eat lunch. 🙏
Good for you for sharing your nudes and not caring if people blocked or left you. I feel the same way because it leaves room for people who will appreciate you and your content!
I look forward to seeing what you write about. And I love seeing that @ryzeonline inspired you. He inspires me daily.
I'm really happy you liked his work and I love this whole comment. Thank you so much.
Exactly, because if someone believes that by showing my body I get to be less of a person, a lesser human being, well that "someone" is not worth of my attention. I have not the energy to confronting backward thinking, but I definitely run from it.
Thanks for this comment and for the good work you do helping people, I took a look at your website and it is encouraging and lovely!
You have my follow too, I'm eager to discover your content and keep sharing thoughts with you ❤️
YES!!! I totally agree! I love to show off! And if people don't see my beauty and brains and think less of me then they don't deserve to see me at all. Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I'm going to start a community for women like us who know our worth and value. I will tag you when I do. It will be a place for high effort posts with pictures of sexy, beautiful, intelligent women like us. Thank you again!
Con mucho amor,
Cyn
Btw maybe you can help me with something? I want to configure my hive account to show NSFW posts, but no matter what I do or change it still won't open them for me. The configuration is in "Always show" and it doesn't, lol. Do you have any advice about it? If not, who would you recommend me to talk to in order to fix the issue?
Forgive me if it's not quite appropriate to ask this in your post, I'm running out of ideas hahaYaasss! Count me in!! @cynshineonline @ryzeonline
Yay! I am so glad to hear it!
hmmmm the first thought was to ask if you're using a mobile device or a laptop? I'm not sure because well 1. I'm new and 2. I'm not having that problem. I just click and they're there. Do you use Peakd? And I always recommend anyone with ANY questions to ask @Ryzeonline he's the answer man. And you can ask me anything anytime, anywhere as well. I may not know and may direct you to Jay but I am always open to questions of any kind. ❤️
Hmm. Good question @nioberojas & @cynshineonline ...
I'd experiment with using PeakD.com as a front-end for browsing Hive, and also double/triple-check that this setting is set correctly in your hive.blog/@username/settings :
Let me know if that fixes it please :)
see @nioberojas ? The answer man LOL thanks @ryzeonline for the help 🙏❤️
I've tried all of it :c I use desktop.
It's my time to ask on discord channels hahaha
Thank you very much for both of you! ❤️
I love this @cynshineonline & @nioberojas ! 🙌
❤️
