Hello, everyone! How are you?
I know I’ve been on hiatus for quite a while due to personal reasons. I’ve been feeling better lately and more upbeat than in the previous months. Today, I'd like to tell you about what I've been up to in recent months, as well as a new skill I discovered during those trying times. Baking has been my coping mechanism for a while now, and it has helped me explore and broaden my horizons more. It is also a plus for a wife's material skills. (Haha.)
The most terrifying thing for me is cooking or baking on my own. I usually have my mother or aunt with me to help me with the recipes and steps. Later on, I set a goal for myself to bake on my own. I realized that if I don't try, I'll never learn or be able to stand on my own two feet. I began the challenge after watching a multitude of YouTube tutorials, all of which were easy. Of course, I didn't get it right the first time, but after trying and trying again, I finally got the perfect brownies and other pastries!
I’ve also pondered that in life we are also baked from different kinds of adversities, trials, and situations. If we don’t have the right amount of faith and hope, then we might end up burnt or simply uncooked. When we decide to give up, then how are we going to achieve that perfect brownie or cake? Will we be consumed by the pain that comes with fiery trials, or will we brush off the dust and get up?
We shouldn't stay on the ground for too long. We should get up, carry our hopes on our backs, and keep going.
I know this isn't a baking post, but I hope to share some of my recipes with you soon!
:) yum! those look super good!
