like the sea embraces the golden sand,
in this corner where time stands still,
I wait for you, my love, though the night is heavy.

Come and dispel the fog of oblivion,
kindle in my breast the extinguished flame,
for though the silence is painted with shadows,
my desire for you will never be a ballad.

I waited for you eternally in this instant,
my eyes closed, hope anchored,
but even in the distance, in mistrust,
my love for you is the light that won't go out.
