The thing about persuasion is that it is a skill that improves with practicing many things. It's similar to a skill like cooking, or basketball.
To be good at winning basketball games requires practicing dribbling, dunks, 3-pointers, stealing, picks, etc.
To be good at winning a whales vote requires practicing hooks, big ideas, storytelling, 'drama', communication, rhetoric, etc.
