Hola Hivers,
Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas weekend. All I pray from Santa is good health and peace within. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.
19th was my birthday. For many years now I have had this habit of writing down my complete year summary so that I can improve on mistakes and cherish my happy moments again. As this year Hive has made an entry in my life I thought of sharing it with you all. Hope you are going to enjoy this post.
I have been through a lot of emotional ups and downs this year. My father had to go through a series of traumatic treatment procedures due to a terminal ailment. Being the only child in the family, when my father was already in hospital I had to be present with him as my mother is also in her late 60s, a very urgent work came upon. The urgency of work was such that if I avoided it, it could result in loss of lakhs of INR. I couldn’t afford to take such a risk as the responsibility of treatment, business, its associates and home were all on me. That’s when I asked a few of my family members if they could take care of my father in the hospital. Getting no good response, I felt helpless and sought no way out.
Then out of nowhere, an angel showed up, the nurse who was attending to my father consoled me, wiped my tears like an elder brother and said- “You go! I will take care of your father until you sort all your problems back at home. Just be back soon, as your father can’t stay without you for a longer period of time.” I truly have no idea what in this world made me believe his words. I came back home, and within a week I completed the task. I was back on that hospital bench after a week.
An hour later that nurse came to attend to my father, I could see the happiness on his face. After completing his duty he left the room and I followed him.
I exclaimed “ Excuse me, Sir!” He turned back to face me.
I continued by saying “Thank you so much! I have to say how thankful I am to you. You were with me exactly at the right time. Oh, God’s man, please tell me if I can help you in any way.” I extended a handbag full of Indian currency towards him for the help he had just done to me. Of course it wasn’t enough for what he had just done for my family, but that was the least I could do for him.
“You have already done a lot for us ma’am.”
“I don’t get that” I was puzzled.
“You might not remember very well but a few months back when you were standing on the road near your workplace, a boy came up to you asking for some address. Despite being very busy and surrounded with phone calls and people you helped that boy with the resources available to you.”
“Yes, I remember I helped that boy because he had a very important exam ahead of him, it was about his career, that’s why. That was my moral responsibility. But how do you know about that?”
“Because that boy was me and that was the nursing exam that I appeared for. You don’t remember me because due to winters I was all packed with clothes. If I was unable to find the address that day my whole career would have been destroyed. I haven’t obliged you in any manner, I have just returned my share.” He smiled and walked away from me.

Post this incident I learned that God is present in different forms. Your good deeds are God, it will come back to you when you need them the most. Same is with when you have wronged someone, it will surely come back when it is going to hit the hardest.
Be kind and save this world.
